Instructor suspected of involvement in death of teenage paratrooper committed suicide
A teenager died on December 1. The body of the instructor was found on January 23 at the foot of Bolshevik Mountain in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
One of the instructors with the parachute class of the Technical Sports Center on Sakhalin, who was named in a case of the death of a 14-year-old student during practice jumps on December 1, committed suicide, Sakh.com news agency reports.
The agency clarifies that the criminal case on the death of the teenager was initiated on the fact rather than against a specific person. Nevertheless, the 45-year-old instructor admitted his possible guilt in the incident and repented. The investigation considered several versions of the teenager’s death, including the incorrect packjob on the ground in which the man was engaged. It is noted that he has recently started working in the parachute class, although he was an experienced paratrooper and instructor.
The body of the deceased coach was discovered the day before by police officers in the forest at the foot of Bolshevik Mountain in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. To establish the cause of death, the body was sent to a morgue.
