According to investigative bodies, in June-August last year the defendant consented to find a hitman for assassination of the head of a rival company Spar Tula LLC at the request of Lakmin LLC CEO.
In August last year while searching for a hitman, the man came to Kirov, where he used to live. He met his friend and offered him the work. He promised to pay 3 million rubles as remuneration. The latter had initially agreed, but after realizing the seriousness of the situation and the customer's intentions, and fearing the criminal responsibility, he reported the impending crime to the police.
Later, on February 9, Tula police officers staged the murder of Spar Tula director, disguising it as the businessman's disappearance; February 11 and 12, the customer and instigator of the crime were detained in the Moscow region. Then the two men were taken to Kirov for further investigation. Both of them were in custody at the time of the investigation; they have pleaded guilty.
After reviewing the investigation materials, the court declared the director of Lakmin LLC Integrated Security Department guilty and sentenced him to 4 years of imprisonment in a maximum regime penal colony. The verdict has not yet entered into force.
