Riots have broken out on the streets of Magas and Nazran.

Ingushetia police were put on alert this night due to the excessive celebration of Yunus-bek Yevkurov’s resignation as region head by Republic residents. This is reported by Baza via Telegram.

Several particularly happy citizens had to be detained. Firecrackers were set off on the streets of Nazran and Magas, people danced a lezginka and fired machine guns. Patrol was sent to inspect city streets.

According to the latest data, only one resident was detained for disobeying police requirements and violation of the order.

Previously, The CrimeRussia reported that Yunus-bek Yevkurov had resigned amid protests of local residents against land exchange with Chechnya. Many residents of the Republic thanked Yevkurov for the decision to leave the post on social networks. In most cases, they commented on his will expression with just two words: “Well done.”
