Illegal immigrant from USA assaults policeman in Obninsk
The foreigner faces up to five years in prison.
A 68-year-old US citizen punched a policeman in the face in Obninsk. The officer was called by the landlady of the apartment, who quarreled with the foreign flatmate, the Prosecutor's Office of the Kaluga Region reports. During the trial, it turned out that the elderly bully’s permit for residence in the Russian Federation had already expired in August.
The Prosecutor’s Office noted that the injured policeman was wearing a uniform and the American could not fail to be aware who he was assaulting. A criminal case has been initiated against the American (part 1 of Article 318 CCRF); the maximum punishment is imprisonment for five years.
