Il planes state corp cancels $165k tender for procurement of Audi A8 on lease for Dmitry Rogozin’s son
An application for procurement of an Audi A8 with an elongated metallic black coachwork, ventilation, massage mode, and a panoramic roof on lease was published on the government procurements website in May 2018. The state company canceled it after the Anti-Corruption Foundation published a video.
The Il State Corporation specializes in designing passenger and freight planes. It canceled a tender for procurement of an Audi A8 on lease. Aleksey Navalny’s Anti-Corruption Foundation had pointed the application out earlier.
The application for procurement of an Audi A8 with an elongated metallic black coachwork, ventilation, massage mode, and a panoramic roof on lease was published on the government procurements website in May 2018 with the starting price of 10.5 million rubles ($168 thousand). The lease period was to be 36 months.
Anti-Corruption Foundation lawyer Lyubov Sobol believes that the luxurious car was meant for Il CEO Aleksey Rogozin, son of Dmitry Rogozin, the recent PM who is now the Roskosmos head.
The car was to have a panoramic roof, front and back seats with ventilation and massage mode, an acoustic system with 23 loudspeakers capable of producing 3D sound, forged spinners, a projection display, an intellectual LED lighting system, and a touch-sensitive control panel, as well as be decorated with elite Feinnappa leather, according to the tender requirements. The information about the requirements was provided by Sobol.
This caused the Anti-Corruption Foundation to ask Aleksey Rogozin who is the future owner of the car. They also suggested him buying a cheaper car.
Notice of cancellation of request for proposals

For several days now, the minds of the public in St. Petersburg are occupied with one piece of news – Lieutenant-General Umnov, head of the Main Directorate of the MIA for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, leaves his post and sets off for a promotion to Moscow. Sergey Umnov is allegedly designated for the position of deputy minister of the MIA Vladimir Kolokoltsev. However, on the sidelines of the ministry they expect not a promotion for the Petersburg general, but an honorable resignation with the consequent loss of political weight.
