The champion of the region in taekwondo suffered seriously in the car accident; her mother estimated the damage at $ 45,000.

The ICR chairman Alexander Bastrykin instructed the Main Military Investigative Department of the agency to thoroughly verify information regarding the accident in Krasnodar with the participation of military judge Arsen Krikorov, who as of now has resigned from office. In the shortest possible time, all the necessary expert examinations will be appointed, the ICR’s press service reports.

The accident occurred on December 21 due to Krikorov’s fault, eyewitnesses say. The former judge’s car knocked down a girl walking along a pedestrian crossing on the yellow light. As it turned out later, she was a taekwondo champion of the region. The victim was diagnosed with a serious leg injury, which threatened her further participation in competitions. The girl’s mother Marina Zvereva estimated the damage at 3 million rubles ($ 45,000).

According to Zvereva, Krikorov tried to cover up the incident and threatened the family so that she would not sue. After the accident, the former judge tried to take off and threatened everyone with his status, the eyewitnesses say.
