“I choose the place and the weapon”: Navalny accepts National Guard Head’s duel challenge
The opposition politician invited the Head of the Hational Guard to take part in debates live on federal television or on Youtube.
The head of the Anti-Corruption Fund, Alexey Navalny, has accepted Viktor Zolotov’s challenge and invited him to take part in debates live on a federal television channel or on Youtube. The politician published his response to a previously published video in which Zolotov challenged him to a duel.
“I accept your challenge and, as is customary, choose the place and the weapon,” said Navalny in his address. He proposed to hold a debate on First Channel, Rossiya 1 or any other federal channel.” Also, Navalny suggested using his channel on Youtube as a platform. Navalny gave Zolotov a deadline of one week to accept or decline the terms of the offer.
Navalny also used a chance to remind his viewers about Zolotov’s real estate with a total value of 3.5 billion rubles. According to the politician, the official does not earn so much money to buy this property.
In August 2018, Navalny accused Zolotov of purchasing products for Rosgvardia at inflated prices. The general denied the charges and challenged the politician to a duel, being aware that he was serving his term in a jail and had no chance to answer him.

The CrimeRussia was figuring out what could have caused the businessman’s death, what is the connection between Tyumen, Yugra, Sevastopol and Karachay-Cherkessia, how the governor Ovsyannikov develops Balaklava (and does he?) and why the head of the Ministry of Construction Vladimir Yakushev and Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin have been spoted in this story.
