Honored Doctor of Mordovia shoots teenager
The suspect was hunting and could take the child for a wild animal.
In Mordovia, resident of Saransk Igor Goryachev, 48, who is an honored doctor of the republic and a former hospital director in the Bolsheignatsky and Lyambirsky Districts, was suspected of murdering of a 15-year-old schoolboy. The doctor himself surrendered to the police. According to preliminary information, on the night of the murder he decided to open the hunting season and could take the boy for a roe, Stolitsa S writes.
On the night of April 13-14, the teenager went for a walk with friends, and then drove off on a motorcycle with a girl and stopped by the woods. A car, presumably a VAZ-2115, from which the shot was fired slowly passed by them. The car left, and the doctors who arrived on the scene did not manage to save the young men.
That night, Goryachev went hunting with a 7.62 mm carbine equipped with a thermal imager, hunting with which is prohibited in the republic. The police seized the weapon and commissioned necessary examinations. The question of the doctor’s arrest is addressed.
General’s son Mikhail Sal’nikov, Professor of the Department of Theory of Government and Law at the St. Petersburg University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Russian Federation, has been detained for real estate fraud. Amid other corruption crimes hitting the headlines, this offense does not seem a high-profile one. But the point is that this is not the first criminal case instituted against professor Sal’nikov, and he is not the only relative of MIA general Viktor Sal’nikov having problems with the law.
