Hockey player fined for Instagram story about governor in Udmurtia
A court found that an athlete insulted "human dignity" with the information spread in social networks.
Oktyabrsky District Court of Izhevsk has fined local hockey player Daniil Fertikov, who posted a story on his Instagram addressed to the Head of Udmurtia Alexander Brechalov. The video contained obscenities.
The video was posted in May of this year, after that Fertikov “repented and apologized,” also by making a post on the Web, but refused to appear in court. Eventually, he got fined under part 3 of Art. 20.1 of the Administrative Code in the amount of 30 thousand rubles ($473.8).
According to information on the site of the National Youth Hockey League, Fertikov is an attacker who previously was part of the Udmurt Progress club from the city of Glazov. Fertikov was last mentioned on the website of Progress in 2017.
