Historian Sokolov brought to conduct investigative experiment wearing body armor and helmet

The professor, accused of killing a graduate student, showed how he tried to get rid of the remains of his girlfriend.

According to a video published on the Internet, St. Petersburg investigators brought historian Oleg Sokolov to the Moika embankment in a bulletproof vest and helmet, fearing of an attack on the accused. The ex-professor at St. Petersburg State University during an investigative experiment showed how he tried to drown a backpack with sawn off hands of graduate student Anastasia Yeshenko.

When trying to get rid of evidence, Sokolov himself fell into the river and began to call for help. After he was rescued, he was taken to the hospital with hypothermia. The backpack was also caught, although Sokolov tried to disown it. Seeing the female hands in it, the rescuers turned to the police, and soon a search was conducted in the historian’s apartment, as a result of which Yeshenko’s headless body without arms was found.

An examination showed that Sokolov killed his girlfriend while she was sleeping with four shots from a sawn-off shotgun.
