Heads of Ministry Industry and Trade and Rostech pool their savings to build their own port on the Black Sea
It turned out that the family of officials involved in the construction of the yacht club in Gelendzhik.
The main investor of a port construction in Gelendzhik, CJSC Gelendzhik Sea Port, is associated with heads of Ministry Industry and Trade and Rostech. The company belongs to son of the head Rostech Sergey Chemezov and the company associated with the business of the Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov’s family. The Center for Investigations Open Russia leads such data.
According to the publication, earlier, the Gelendzhik Sea Port was belonged to Company Omega Ship. However, after its reorganization in early 2016 the company became the property of Finansovie Sistemy LLC, which is run by the family of Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov since 2003.
At the end of last year, Finansovie Sistemy’s 50% shares were transferred to Finansovie Investizii LLC. The company has appeared only in November 2016, and its sole owner is Stanislav Chemezov, the son of Head of the state corporation Russian Technologies Chemezov. Another 50% were transferred to the offshore Universal Managment Capital Ltd, registered in the British Virgin Islands.
In addition, in 2014, it was reported that in the construction of the port with marina for yachts Rosneft would take part. However, soon its Head Igor Sechin denied the report, adding that Rosneft plans to build there only a refueling complex. At the moment, its subsidiary RN-Tuapsenefteprodukt LLC named among the main actors on the site of the investment project Rosmorport.
According to the Center for Investigations Open Russia, co-investors of the construction company may also be associated with Gennady Timchenko and his friend, former head of the Development Corporation Sergey Maslov. At the moment, he is under house arrest and accused in the case of theft of 1 billion rubles.
About Gelendzhik’s luxury yacht with parking, hotel and entertainment complex it was become known in the 2013 year. Thus, in 2014, the project was included in the Federal Target Program Development of Transport System of Russia (2010-2020). In general, it is planned to spend about 9.5 billion rubles for the port. And more than half - to 5 billion rubles - the state will have to allocate through the FSUE Rosmorport.
The 2016 general plan of Gelendzhik reflects that in addition to the marina for 180 yachts, in the city there will be two new ports – for passenger with a 130-meter quay and sea freight station with 800 thousand tons turnover per year - 2.5 times more, than it is today. These objects are called one of the key elements of a seaside resort industry of the city and yachting infrastructure.
