Head of Interdistrict Registration and Examination Department killed in Kaluga region
The Head of Interdistrict Registration and Examination Department of the Kaluga region State Road Traffic Safety Inspectorate, the Police Lieutenant the Colonel Aleksey Kamashkin, has been killed in Peremyshl village not far from his own garage.
This information has been unofficially confirmed by a MIA source, adding that Kamashkin had been hospitalized with three stab wounds, where he later died.
The regional ICR Investigations Directorate later confirmed the death of the lieutenant colonel. According to the Assistant Head of ICR Investigations Directorate of the Kaluga region Liliya Moshkova, the head of Interdistrict Registration and Examination Department of the State Road Traffic Safety Inspectorate died in a district hospital, where he had been delivered unconscious. As the Investigation Committee reports, he underwent surgery immediately after admission, but doctors were unable to save the Lieutenant Colonel.
The ICR has not commented on the police officer's stab wounds.
