Head of Chelyabinsk region apologizes to disabled person for threats of hockey club director
The governor also promised to arrange a personal meeting with the public man.
Head of the Chelyabinsk region Boris Dubrovsky called a wheelchair user, Nikolay Olkhovsky, who had previously complained about threats on the part of Traktor hockey club director Ivan Senichev. This is reported by the Governor's press service.
Dubrovsky apologized for Senichev’s emotional statement. “The region head noted that social control is necessary, and every citizen has the right to encourage it,” the message of the region head’s press service says. In addition, the governor promised to arrange a personal meeting with the disabled man.
Social activist Nikolay Olkhovsky spoke about the threats from Director of Traktor hockey club Ivan Senichev, which he received after turning to the Prosecutor General's Office with a request to check the budget of the hockey club. In the audio recording, Senichev says that he will be checked four times a year. “I will sue you! I’ve had enough of you already,” the club director says.
Earlier, social activists expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that 1 billion rubles ($14.9 million) is allocated from the budget every year for the maintenance of the club. According to them, this money is better spent on transport and improvement.
