Grandson of ex-Vice President of AvtoVAZ, 19, stages fatal car accident in Moscow
Egor Lyachenkov crashed into a Hyundai Solaris car in a car-sharing’s Mercedes. The Hyundai driver died on the spot.
Egor Lyachenkov, the grandson of Nikolai Lyachenkov, the former Vice President of AvtoVAZ, staged a fatal accident at Vorobyevy Gory in Moscow, Baza Telegram channel reports. The accident was caught on surveillance cameras.
The footage shows Egor Lyachenkov in a Mercedes crashing into a car at high speed.
According to Komsomolskaya Pravda, the accident occurred on April 13. The 19-year-old Lyachenkov drove a car-sharing’s Mercedes, which he allegedly took from a friend to “take his girlfriend for a ride,” while being drunk. The car reached the speed of 100 kilometers, drove through a red traffic light and crashed into a Hyundai Solaris car. The driver of Hyundai died on the spot from the injuries. The passenger of Lyachenkov was hospitalized with a broken arm.
KP also notes that Lyachenkov did not try to escape from the accident scene, but refused to undergo a medical examination. A criminal case was opened on the fact of the incident.
Nikolai Lyachenkov had been the Vice President of AvtoVAZ from 1997 to 2002. In 2016, he was awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of Togliatti".
