Golunov calls name of policeman who beat him
When the journalist was detained, he was hit twice in the temple and stepped on his chest.
Medusa’s special correspondent Ivan Golunov, who was charged with drug dealing the other day, called the name of the policeman who assaulted him. In the drug dispensary, operative Maxim Umetbayev punched Golunov twice in the temple and stepped on his chest when the journalist fell, Golunov said in an interview with Ksenia Sobchak.
“It wasn’t that painful for some reason, but the next morning, when the ambulance arrived, it hurt when putting pressure on,” the journalist commented on the chest contusion.
It is to be recalled that after the case against Golunov was terminated at the request of Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Russian President Vladimir Putin dismissed the head of the Moscow MIA’s Department for Drug Trafficking Control, Major General Yuri Devyatkin, and the head of the MIA’s Moscow WAD Directorate, Major General Andrey Puchkov. The policemen involved in the journalist’s detention were suspended from work.
