Fugitive blogger challenges Kadyrov

Head of the Chechen parliament Magomed Daudov previously declared blood feud on Tumso Abdurakhmanov.

Blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov, on whom Head of the Chechen parliament Magomed Daudov previously declared blood feud, challenged Head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov to a debate.

Tumso appealed to the head of Chechnya on his YouTube channel, launching a stream called “Challenging Kadyrov. Tell me your tales.” The video has been viewed 320 thous. times.

“It is very easy to sit 150 Jordanian Chechens in front of you, who will not contradict you and ask you thorny issues. If you can prove someone that you’re right, then try to prove it to me,” Tumso said.

According to him, Kadyrov will not be able to “pull the conversation” with him.

“I’m challenging you to a debate, accepting your statement. Prove it to me, Kadyrov, will you? Daudov, Umarov, even Shevchenko, have already tried to do this, but none of them succeeded. All [their arguments] were outmatched by the facts that I gave them, on the contradictions that I pointed out... Now it’s your turn,” the blogger said.

“You will have to debate with me and answer questions that are very uncomfortable for you. I will point out your contradictions and you will have to explain yourself,” Abdurakhmanov added.

Previously, Kadyrov spoke to young Chechens from Jordan who visited the region, saying that he was ready to prove his position on the situation in the republic to everyone.

Abdurakhmanov left Chechnya in 2015 after a conflict with Kadyrov’s relative. The authorities of Poland, where Abdurakhmanov is seeking asylum, have several times refused him refugee status with the wording “poses a threat to the country’s security.”

In March, Daudov recorded a video message to Abdurakhmanov, in which he declared him his enemy and promised to find him. Daudov was outraged by the blogger’s words about the former head of Chechnya, Akhmat Kadyrov.
