St. Petersburg subway explosion: FSB told about bomb stuffing
The explosive device was equipped with the striking objects, bomb experts reported.
The Administration of the Federal Security Service across St. Petersburg told about characteristics of the explosive device which was neutralized by bomb experts at Ploshad Vosstaniya metro station. As Interfax reports with reference to the representative of department, the bomb was filled with the striking elements.
Earlier, information on detection of the explosive device at Ploshad Vosstaniya station in St. Petersburg was confirmed by the National Anti-Terrorism Committee (NATC).
As the CrimeRussia wrote earlier, on April 3, around 14:40 an explosion happened in the carriage of the train of the St. Petersburg subway at the time of its following from the Sennaya Square station to Tehnologichesky Institut. According to the latest data, 10 people became victims of terrorist attack, 47 more were wounded. Investigative Committee of Russia initiated a criminal case upon the event.
The city police detained two officers of the Russian FSB and the deputy chief of the Internal Affairs Directorate for the North-East Administrative District Department of the Interior Ministry of Russia for Moscow, who are suspected of bribe-taking.
