In addition, operational activities take place throughout the city administration of Miass. The reasons for the searches are not yet reported, the phone of Mayor Gennady Vaskov is not responding. However, according to the edition, it is known that at present the investigative department of Miass is investigating a criminal case on the theft of municipal property.
Previous searches and seizure of documents in the building of the Miass Mayor's Office were carried out on April 18 and 20 this year by the FSB. During the operational activities, an unofficial adviser to the city Head, entrepreneur Vladimir Murashkin, who was known for his close ties with the Turbazovskie gang, and in particular with its leader Sergey Chashchin, convicted for contract killings, was detained.

Recall that the fourth largest city in the Chelyabinsk region is known for high-profile corruption scandals and connections of its leaders with criminals. In 2004, former Mayor of Miass Vladimir Grigoriadi became the first Russian Mayor convicted of bribery. Currently in Moscow, the trial of former city-manager Victor Ardabievsky, accused of organizing at least two contract killings, which were executed by the killers of the Turbazovskie OCG, is in progress.
A native of Grozny Lors Khamiev, who has served several years for preparing an attempt on Head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov, has been arrested by court along with another defendant. They have already been charged with the murder of Azerbaijani Garib Orudzhev during the night of February 15.
The high-profile shootout in Oko Tower in November 2017 – at least, 40 gunshots were fired there – has led to unexpected consequences a year later. Seven high-ranked investigators of the Main Investigations Directorate in the City of Moscow of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation (ICR) have submitted a collective resignation letter, and the inquest into the incident in Moscow City International Business Center was resumed. In fact, this chain of events resembles another firefight that had occurred in 2015 near Elements Restaurant on Rochdelskaya street, Moscow and also resulted in a number of high-profile criminal cases against senior ICR officials and incarceration of ‘thief № 1’ Shakro Molodoy.
