FSB detains communications officer on suspicion of treason in favor of Ukraine
The investigating authorities instituted criminal proceedings against the senior lieutenant.
The FSB officers detained a soldier suspected of treason in favor of Ukraine in Aksay, the Rostov Region, the Center for Public Relations of the service reports. The man allegedly collected secret information about the Russian Armed Forces on the instructions of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The detainee is 28-year-old senior lieutenant Ruslan Artykov, who serves as a communications officer in the 175th Luninets-Pinsk brigade of the Southern Military District, Open Media writes. Artykov’s social network profile indicates that he graduated from the Taganrog Institute of Technology (now the Engineering and Technology Academy of the Southern Federal University). The owner of the profile was last online on November 19 at 1 p.m.
