FSB checks Shaltay-Boltay's involvement in hack of state officials mails
Security officers believe that hackers of Anonymous International hacked personal mails of several high-ranking civil servants, including Timakova.
FSB checks arrested members of Shaltay-Boltay (Humpty Dumpty) for involvement in the hacking e-mails of several persons, including the ress secretary of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Rosbalt reports. However, it is unlikely that owners of the hacked e-mais will be recognized as victims.
At the moment, arrested Vladimir Anikeev (Lewis) admitted guilt in one episode - the hack of Sberbank manager e-mail Evgeny Kislyakov. Now, security forces clear the situation with the leak from TV presenter Dmitry Kiselev's private mail, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Domestic Policy Department Timur Prokopenko, Spokeswoman for the Prime Minister Natalia Timakova and the secretary of businessman Magomed Magomedov.
In order to recognize these individuals as victims, each of them should come to the law enforcement authorities, answer some questions and recognize that leaked information really belongs to them.
Shaltay-Boltay (also known as Anonymous International) is a hacker group, which spreaded the content of correspondence and e-mails of high-ranking officials, businessmen and prominent individuals in the network. In October last year, founder of the group Vladimir Anikeev was detained; several other members followed his fate. In addition, Head of the 2nd Operational Department of the Information Security Center (ISC) of the FSB Sergey Mikhailov was detained. According to some sources, he was the curator of the hackers in the security services.
The United States is considering two lawsuits against the "Russian mafia" at the same time; one is the criminal syndicate of the thief in law Razhden Shulaya and the other one is a Brighton Beach gang with an exaggerated name Vory v zakone ("Thieves in law"), although there are no actual thieves in law among the members. Reports from the court hearings tell us something about the relationship between the immigrant gangsters.
