As The CrimeRussia has reported previously, on August 1 five defendants of the case of the GTA gang attacked two convoys in the Moscow Regional Court. The defendants beat the policemen, freed themselves from the handcuffs and took away the service weapons. The escape of the bandits was prevented thanks to the riot police officers, who, incidentally, happened to be at the time in the courthouse. The case is that the staff of Rosgvardia arrived in the Moscow Regional Court to guard one of the criminals taken to the trial from Matrosskaya Tishina. A shootout broke out between them and the defendants of the GTA gang case, as a result of which Abdumukim Mamadchonov, Mirzomavlon Mirzosharipov and Kholik Subkhanov were killed on the spot. Two more - Fazlitdin Khasanov and Zafardzhon Gulyamov were wounded. One of the employees of Rosgvardia Mikhail Ananichev was wounded by bandits in the shoulder. Ananichev and the convoys were hospitalized.
As a result, the investigation committee intends to "give a legal assessment" to the actions of law enforcement agencies that organized the escort. Compliance with the law in the delivery of criminals to the court will also be checked by the prosecutor's office and the Moscow Region Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to RBC, who studied the service manual, five accused should be escorted by at least 10 guards.
The lawyer of one of the defendants, Abubakar Manaev, told RIA Novosti that the defendants never had reinforced security.
"Two or three people, not a convoy, just a name. They fall asleep in court, or do something else", the lawyer commented.
