None of the defendants complained about the conditions of detention to PMC members.
Former Ufa policemen accused of raping their investigator colleague are kept in solitary confinement in the pre-trial detention and do not complain about the conditions of everyday life, Federal Press reported referring to the Public Monitoring Committee (PMC).
The PMC members checked the conditions of detention of the accused Pavel Yaromchuk, Eduard Matveev and Salavat Galiyev. Items for hygiene, books and magazines are handed out to prisoners, they are allowed to listen to the radio, the cells are heated, and the light and ventilation work properly. No complaints were received from the ex-policemen.
On the night of October 30, 2018, the prisoners drank alcoholic beverages with the junior investigator, and in the morning she reported to the ICR about the committed group rape. The MIA dismissed the accused without waiting for the court decision. The former police officers are in custody until December 31.
