First suspect in murder of master of sports in wrestling Chuev arrested
The athlete stood up for a pregnant woman and drowned.
The Chertanovskiy Court of Moscow arrested one of six suspects in the murder of master of sports in wrestling Sergey Chuev until August 8. The citizens of Tajikistan aged from 24 to 29 years fell under investigation. Chuev fell into a pond and drowned during a fight with them.
Suspects are charged with Murder committed by a group of persons (part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and Hooliganism (Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). On the night of June 8, Chuev was walking with a girl in a park on Yuzhnobutovskaya Street, when two teenagers asked for help. According to another version, the athlete stood up for the pregnant woman, who was molested by the drunken group.
The master of sports entered into a fight with two young men; the athlete fell into a pond with an opponent, where they continued to fight. As a result, Chuev drowned, his girlfriend, and teenagers were beaten. Soon the police detained six natives of Tajikistan.
