Fire at Mytishchi thermal power plant quenched

The blaze at the Mytishchi thermal power plant has been tackled, TASS reports with reference to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Two fire helicopters were used to extinguish the fire at the thermal power plant in Mytishchi, Moscow region, the press service of the Department of Civil Defense, Emergencies and Fire Safety told RBC. According to the press service of the Emergencies Ministry, two fire trains were also sent to quench the fire.

Earlier it became known that a high-pressure gas station caught fire on the territory of Severnaya Thermal Power Plant in the village of Chelobityevo, urban district of Mytishchi.

According to eyewitnesses, the pillar of flame was about 50 meters. The accident has affected ten people.
