Former plenipotentiary representative helped local businessman get his daughter into a university.
The Leninsky City Court of Stavropol has arrested former Plenipotentiary Representative of the Stavropol region governor Andrey Utkin, charged with abuse of official powers, until February 3. This is reported by RIA Novosti citing a representative of the Stavropol Region Court.
He noted that the hearing, during which the preventive measure for Utkin was elected, lasted from early morning to seven o'clock in the evening.
According to the investigation, the former plenipotentiary representative helped local businessman get his daughter into a university with full-funding without competitive examination. It should be added that Andrey Utkin had been a plenipotentiary representative in the region’s eastern territories until 2016.
