Ex-deputy head of Neftekamsk to be tried for houses unfit for human habitation
As a result, the city administration suffered millions in losses, as the hastily erected houses were declared unfit for habitation by the court.
In Neftekamsk, an investigation against 56-year-old ex-Deputy Head for City Construction Varis Nurytdinov has been completed. The former official is charged with Exceeding Official Powers with Serious Consequences. This is reported by the ICR in the Republic of Bashkortostan.
According to the investigation, in 2013, Nurytdinov completed the construction and registration of ownership of twelve houses in the village of Amzya in record time, reducing the five-year period to two years. Later, it turned out that the official had reduced the time limits so that only companies producing prefabricated houses could participate in the state bidding. After that, he secured the victory for PKF Zavod KMD.
As a result, the city administration suffered millions in losses, as the hastily erected houses turned out to be unfit for habitation. The city administration had to take a loan from the budget of the Republic for the new construction. In addition, the rights of other companies that could have participated in a fair bidding were violated.
The criminal case will be soon referred to the court. The former official faces from 3 to 10 years in colony.
