Ex-deputy head of Bashkiria Rospotrebnadzor commits suicide after conflict with management

52-year-old Olga Sidorcheva, ex-Deputy Head of the Department of Hygiene and Nutrition of Bashkiria Rospotrebnadzor, could have killed herself after a hard conversation with the boss. This is reported by media referring to sources.
Thus, according to Sobkor02, Sidorcheva decided to close the local Ferma store following the results of a check, but its owner managed to get on the air during the direct line of Republic Head, Radiy Khabirov. The entrepreneur said that by the results of the check, the department could impose fines on it, but was not entitled to close the store. The region head agreed with the position of the businessman and promised to investigate the situation.
After May 19, Sidorcheva was summoned for a hard talk with the head of the Republic’s Rospotrebnadzor following a meeting with Radiy Khabirov. The same evening, the woman’s body was found in the woods; in the suicide note, she apologized to her relatives.
At the same time, the deceased woman’s husband believes she was murdered. According to him, after the reprimand, the head of Rospotrebnadzor demanded his spouse to resign. However, after returning home, she did not have any suicidal thoughts and was ready to resign.
The publication notes that the woman could have been worried about the fact that an inspection might expose her activity of 9 years ago, when Sidorcheva was caught extorting money from the owner of an outlet for permission to sell alcohol. Back then, the employee was quit for a 100-thousand-ruble ($1,549) fine.
