Eritrean Defence Forces Colonel detained in Moscow
The military is charged with the storage of ammunition.
The Moscow investigators opened a case concerning the storage of weapons against the Colonel of the Eritrean Defence Forces. This is reported by MK referring to the source.
According to the edition, the African militant arrived in Moscow for an exhibition of helicopters, where he was to sign some contracts. When flying to Dubai, 11 cartridges of 9 mm caliber from the FN-8 pistol were found in his suitcase during the pre-flight inspection.
The man explained that this is a service weapon. He left the gun at home, one round of cartridges accidentally stayed in the suitcase. He noted that he had no problems when arrived in Moscow.
Nevertheless, the military was detained and arrested. A criminal case was initiated into illegal storage of ammunition.
It concerns entrepreneur Dmitry Motorin, Boris Usherovich, a co-owner of the Group of Companies 1520, and Novoe Vremya board member, Ivan Stankevich. Motorin is accused of giving a bribe on an especially large scale, and Stankevich and Usherovich are charged with bribe-taking.
