English defender Trippier: Heartbreak as England lose to Croatia in semi-final
The Croatian national team defeated England and became the second finalist of the 2018 World Cup.
Defender of England Kieran Trippier, commenting on the defeat of his team in the semi-final of the 2018 World Cup, said that the players feel the pain of loss at the moment.
“We win and lose together… We are feeling disappointed, but we have grown as a team through the tournament and handled certain games, and a penalty shootout well. Everybody knows you need to take chances in the semi-final of a World Cup, and had we got that second goal, things would have been different. We wanted to win," the footballer admitted.

Ivan Perišić scored an equalizer. Mario Mandžukić closed out the scoring in the second half of extra time.
