Elder Khachaturyan sisters found sane
Kristina and Angelina Khachaturyan will remain in custody.
The elder Khachaturyan sisters, Kristina and Angelina, who are accused of killing their father, are found sane, Interfax with reference to lawyer Alexey Liptser reported.
According to him, such a conclusion was made on the basis of a psychiatric examination, but the defense team does has not received the experts’ conclusion yet. The lawyer specified that the sisters had an outpatient psychiatric examination at the Institute named after Serbsky.
Earlier, it was reported that the youngest of the sisters, Maria, had been transferred from the pre-trial detention center to the pre-trial detention center’s psychiatric hospital for testing her mental state. Later, the examination at the Serbsky Institute established that the girl did not give any account of her actions at the time of the murder of her father.
According to her lawyer Yaroslav Pakulin, because of this, his client can avoid criminal liability if her guilt is proven.
The body of Mikhail Khachaturyan with stab wounds was discovered at the end of July in an apartment building on the Altufevskoe Highway in Moscow. Three of his daughters confessed to the murder, saying that they could no longer take tortures and victimizing that has been going on for quite a while already.
The girls are charged with murder committed by a group of persons by prior agreement.
Major of the Operative Unit No. 6 in the South-Eastern Administrative District of Moscow, Kirill Dvoretskov, is the nephew of General Boris Pishchulin, who used to head the police of the South-Eastern Administrative District of Moscow.
