Drunk driver hit policeman, carried him on his bonnet for 1.5 km
A drunken 21-year-old Audi driver hit a traffic police officer by his car when the latter tried to stop him, and fled the scene.
According to investigative bodies, the incident took place late at night on January 17 in Glazov town near the house no. 9 on Lenin Street. Traffic police officers tried to stop the drunken violator of traffic rules, however, instead of submitting to the legal requirements of traffic police officers, the driver hit one of them and dragged for about 500 meters on the bonnet of his car. When a police man fell on the road, the driver ran over his leg without stopping the car and fled the accident scene.
A criminal case has been initiated following the incident, and an investigation is in progress. It has been established that the driver had been previously brought to administrative responsibility for drunken driving and other traffic violations. In addition, the young man is neither employed nor he is a student.
