Drunk police officer stabs 25-year-old man to death over poorly parked car
A police officer stabbed a 25-year-old man in a lung in a conflict over a poorly parked car in Novorossiysk.
The police officer began arguing with the 25-year-old man due to the latter having poorly parked his car. The argument escalated into a fight which escalated into a murder: the officer pulled out a knife and stabbed the opponent in the chest. The man died of a pierced lung in an ambulance on his way to hospital.
The victim’s name was Aleksey Odintsov; he was a local resident. The incident happened on June 16. However, it came to light only now. The young man was spending time with his friends when a man drove up to them and began arguing with them over the car he believed to be poorly parked, according to eyewitnesses. The argument escalated into a fight.
The man in the car turned out to be a police officer, according to eyewitnesses. He was drunk, too. “At one point the man’s son ran to a kitchen, grabbed a knife and gave it to his father. The police officer stabbed Aleksey in the chest, piercing his lung,” according to eyewitnesses, as quoted by the Novaya Gazeta Novorossiysk Newspaper.
A murder case was opened against the police officer. He has been arrested. The investigation continues.
