CrimeRussia reported the fire had taken place at the children’s camping site located in the territory of the ski resort Kholdomi (40 km away from Komsomolsk-on-Amur) on Tuesday night.

There were radiators in the tents which is prohibited by safety instructions. One of the girl left her wet T-shirt on a radiator. As a result, the T-shirt caught fire at night. The fire quickly spread to the other tents. As a result, one girl died at the scene, 11 persons were taken to a hospital, but now, one of them has died.

There was the total of 189 children at the camping site of the ski resort. By the time the first fire fighters arrived, 20 out of 26 tents had been burnt down. The Investigative Committee of Russia initiated a criminal case following the incident.
