Director general of three companies detained for extremism
The director of Technopark Dagomys Ltd. and the founder of several other companies are suspected of creating an extremist community and public calls for extremist activities.
The Moscow Basmanny Court arrested businessman Dmitry Sporykhin on suspicion of creating an extremist community and public calls for extremism. This is reported by Moskovsky Komsomolets with reference to the press service of the court.
Sporykhin is the director general of Technopark Dagomys LLC, registered in Sochi, Evklid LLC in Ulyanovsk and Mares Development LLC in Moscow. He is also listed as the founder of the Moscow Olympic New LLC and Evklid LLC.
The court ordered to arrest the businessman until October 8. Details of the case are still unknown.
Initially, the defendants in the case had been charged with embezzlement through swindling in the amount of 225 million rubles ($3.3 million). In the final version of the indictment, the article was changed to 1.5-billion-ruble ($22.45 million) embezzlement.
