Deputy Chairman of Samara regional Government wounded by EMERCOM Lieutenant Colonel
Person, who wounded deputy chairman of the Samara regional government Yury Ivanov, turned out to be an EMERCOM lieutenant colonel.
Let us recall that the incident occurred on the eve of October 29 during hunting in the Pestravsky district of the Samara region. Apart from the 55-year-old deputy, a 32-year-old police officer, whose name has not been disclosed, also suffered from a gunshot wound. Both men were taken to a hospital. According to doctors, their life is not in danger.
Law enforcement authorities are currently conducting security checks and establishing all the circumstances of what happened. According to employees of the regional ICR, the incident was the result of careless handling of firearms. Preliminary information is as follows: October 29 at 13:35 a man was adjusting a hunting rifle and accidentally wounded two hunters not far from Tyagloe Ozero village. The shooter turned out to be the Lieutenant Colonel of the Internal Service and the Head of the EMERCOM Main Administration's Oversight Activities Division for the Pestravsky and Krasnoarmeysky District of the Samara Oblast, Dmitry Ishkov.
The investigating authorities have appointed a number of forensic medical examinations, aimed at establishing the severity of damage caused to the victims' health.
The city police detained two officers of the Russian FSB and the deputy chief of the Internal Affairs Directorate for the North-East Administrative District Department of the Interior Ministry of Russia for Moscow, who are suspected of bribe-taking.
