Deputy and Hunters Society head collide head-on escaping from gamekeepers during VIP hunt
The officials got suspected of poaching.
Troitsk deputy Vitaly Zdebsky and the head of the Troitsk district department of the Society of Hunters and Fishermen, Sergey Khasanov, got injured in a car accident in the Plastovsky district, Chelyabinsk region. The officials’ cars collided as they were trying to escape from gamekeepers, who had suspected them of poaching in the local forest, URA.RU reported.
The press center of the Chelyabinsk Ministry of Internal Affairs said: "a report on illegal transportation of weapons has been made against the victims." The police are establishing whether the officials were poaching.
According to URA.RU sources, before the gamekeepers came, the officials had killed two roe deer. It was dark when the chase began. The headlights of the gamekeepers made the hunters lose the way and collide head-on. Both the injured have been hospitalized; one of them is now in the intensive care unit. One of the injured men claims they had not been hunting and simply got lost in the woods. They did have weapons, however. Troitsk MIA is looking into what happened.
Vitaly Zdebsky had worked with the police until 2010 when he was elected to the Troitsk town assembly. Zdebsky, 38, is a member of the Council of Young Deputies of the Legislative Assembly, Chelyabinsk Region. He is a member of United Russia. Sergei Khasanov, Zdebsky's peer, took over as head of the district branch of the Society of Hunters and Fishermen in August 2018. He sells vouchers to hunters among other things.
