Criminal case initiated against Yakut police officers who beat driver
The Internet users were outraged by a video on which inspectors of traffic police were beating an allegedly drunk driver.
The Investigative Committee of Yakutia initiated a case over exceeding official powers against the traffic police officers, who beat the driver detained by them. Judging by a video uploaded in the network, the refusal of the man to pass a rapid test for alcohol served a reason for the conflict.
As the press service of the Investigative Committee told, now investigators attentively study the video.
The video shows how a police officer beats the driver, and two his colleagues quietly observe. Later the two joined the process. The detainee did not even try to resist.
In turn, the Ministry of Internal Affairs began a service check upon the incident.
On September 21, kingpin Vladimir Vagin, aka Vagon, hanged himself. Two years earlier another thief in law Max Pioner also committed suicide. Vagon's lawyer does not believe in the version of suicide and intends to apply for a forensic medical examination.
