Kadyrov is officially recognized in the case as the victim. It is noted that the date for the hearings has not yet been fixed, but it is known that the examination will take place in a special order, because all three defendants pleaded guilty.
The materials concerning Isa Yamadaev, whom the investigators identified as the customer of the case, are separated and transferred to a military investigation.
Recall that the 4th Division of Priority Cases of the ICR in Chechnya initiated a criminal investigation into the attempt on Ramzan Kadyrov under Art. 277 of the Criminal Code (Encroachment on the Life of Public Figure) in January 2017. At the same time it became known about the detention of three suspects, although they disappeared without a trace even six months before the initiation of the case. The assassination attempt itself, according to Novaya Gazeta, which reported its first preparation, was being prepared in May 2016.
On April 12, it became known that Isa Yamadaev was put on the international wanted list on suspicion of organizing an attempt on the Head of the Chechen Republic on motives of blood feud. According to the investigation, Yamadaev blamed Kadyrov for the organization of the murder of his brother - ex-deputy of the State Duma and Hero of Russia Ruslan (Khalid) Yamadaev, who was shot dead by a hitman in September 2008 in Moscow. Yamadaev was charged in absentia, and on April 16 the Staropromyslovsky Court of Grozny ruled on his absentee arrest.
The Russia’s Investigative Committee central office has taken the case of former Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg Marat Oganesyan for investigation. However, the St. Petersburg’s Investigative Committee dept (regional dept where the case had been investigated previously) did not find state budget damage in the Zenit Arena fraud case.
Among his accomplices are a lawyer, who presented himself as the plenipotentiary of the self-proclaimed republic in the International Criminal Court with the United Nations, and an entrepreneur, already serving a sentence for attempting to seize a building.
