Citizen of Georgia promoted to Russian MIA Lieutenant-Colonel using fake passport
Yanis Zafiridi received forged documents in 2000 and then worked in the police for more than 12 years.
A citizen of Georgia, Yanis Zafiridi has worked in the MIA of Russia using a fake passport, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. This is reported by Baza via Telegram.
Zafiridi received the fake ID in 2000. According to the channel, his friends helped him obtained the citizenship. Later, he got a job at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. By 2012, he took the post of Chief of the Criminal Police of Vladikavkaz. After that, he joined the Federal Drug Control Service.
He became a lieutenant-colonel and one of the senior drug policemen in North Ossetia. However, after that, unknown people reported his fake citizenship to the Internal Security Department. A check revealed that Zafiridi got his passport illegally, after which he was suspended.
