"Child is afraid of gun, is this normal?": Senator Bondarev demands to train students in military training
Minister of Education Vasilyeva promised to think about the initiative.
Viktor Bondarev, senator from the Kirov region, at a meeting with the Minister of Education Olga Vasilyeva, strongly suggested that military training be returned to schools. He lamented that modern schoolchildren do not know how to properly handle grenades and weapons.
Bondarev suggested immediately introducing teaching lessons into schools, since "a pacifist with a brush will never protect his homeland."
“In the army, the service life was reduced to one year thanks to pacifists. A child is afraid of a gun. A child does not know what a grenade is, how to throw it. Is this normal?” the senator asked Vasilyeva anxiously.
In his opinion, children need to get used to arms without delay, since "this is happening around."
“For God's sake, do it as you are a woman,” Bondarev concluded with a plea.
Minister Vasilyeva answered that she did not mind and promised to think about the initiative.
