Chelyabinsk suicide bomber behind Grozny explosion recruited back in school
In graduation classes, Karina Spiridonova became fascinated with Islam and began wearing a hijab.
Chelyabinsk suicide bomber Karina Spiridonova was recruited while still in school. The girl grew up without a father, was interested in volleyball and pedagogy, but in high school suddenly became interested in Islam, Ura.ru reports.
According to the newspaper, this happened after a young imam was sent to a local mosque in a neighboring village, who conducted classes with local teenagers, promising to take them to Saudi Arabia. Dissatisfied residents turned to the mufti Rinat Raev, after that the imam was changed.
In graduation classes, Spiridonova began wearing a hijab, which is why the school principal spoke several times with the girl and her mother, who works at a rural school as a physical education teacher. Soon after, Spiridonov left the village and went first to Magnitogorsk, and then to Dagestan. In 2016, she got married and changed her last name.
Recall the explosion thundered near the checkpoint in Grozny on November 17. Guards of order, seeing the inadequate behavior of the girl, demanded her to stop. After a warning shot, the bomber triggered an explosive device. In addition to the terrorist, no one died or was injured by the explosion.
