Chelyabinsk region: hunter arrested on suspicion of killing a businessman
During a quarrel in the woods, a 49-year-old man fired two shots at his 51-year-old opponent and then buried his body in the snow and burned his snowmobile.
In the Chelyabinsk region, a 49-year-old resident of Karabash has been arrested. He is accused of killing a 51-year-old businessman, whose body was found in the woods near Tyelga village on January 5. This is reported by the regional ICR's press service.
According to the investigation, January 4, the slain man went to the woods on a snowmobile. He met a hunter there, who was checking wolf traps. They had a quarrel “based on long-term hostile relations,” namely, the accused man suspected the businessman of involvement in the arson of his hunting lodge. During the conflict, the man fired two shots at the entrepreneur and then buried his body in the snow and burned his snowmobile.
According to the sources of 74.ru, the slain Vadim Prokhorin, who was the head and co-founder of Ural-Pivo LLC, was building a house in the village of Tyelga. He was in conflict with the alleged killer for a long time. Prokhorin was fond of hunting with huskies and was a student of game managers school. The men met in the woods by accident. They had a screaming match, which ended in shooting. Late Prokhorin had a wife and three children.
A criminal case under Murder (part 1 of Art. 105) has been initiated. The court placed the shooter in custody at the request of the ICR. Investigators are establishing all the circumstances, causes, and conditions that contributed to what happened.
