Chechen man who beat State Duma deputy arrested
Native of the Chechen Republic Ibragim Dudaev is also charged with a theft in a particularly large amount.
The Tagansky court in Moscow has imprisoned Ibragim Dudaev for beating head of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy Sergei Zhigarev (LDPR party), as well as for a theft in a particularly large amount. This was reported by the press service of the court.
Dudaev is charged under i. b of Part 4 of Art. 158 (Theft committed in a particularly large amount) and Art. 116 (Battery) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
As the CrimeRussia previously wrote, native of Chechnya Ibragim Dudaev did not admit his guilt and testified against a former girlfriend of the deputy, Olga Sintyureva.
In Dudaev’s words, Sintyureva met him through their friends. She told him that she is allegedly married to Zhigarev. He left with the key to the safe where 22 million rubles ($315.2 thousand) were kept. And she needs money. Dudaev helped her open the safe. After that, Sintyureva complained to him that she is being beaten by Zhigarev. Then, Dudaev decided to stand up for the woman and attacked Zhigarev.
It should be reminded that 24-year-old model Olga Sintyureva, native of the city of Kazan, is suspected of having stolen from Sergey Zhigarev 22 million rubles ($315.2 thousand). According to the investigation, before the theft, both had close relationship, however broke up. Then, Zhigarev demanded her to give him back the presents. When they met, Sintyureva’s companion beat the deputy of the Russia’s State Duma. Now Dudaev faces the accusations.
