Bus driver arrested on case of deadly road accident in Tatarstan
The court placed Aleksander Izhmukov into custody till September 2.
The Volga District Court on Thursday, July 6, arrested bus driver Aleksander Izhmukov, who got into a road accident in Zainsky District of Tatarstan. To recall, as a result of the accident, 14 people died, including four children. According to the judgment, Izhmukov is placed in the pre-trial detention center till September 2.
During the hearing, the defendant asked relatives of the dead in the road accident for forgiveness.
“I repent, it happened unexpectedly. It is a terrible tragedy”, - Interfax quotes him.
According to the representative of the investigation, who made a statement in the court, Aleksander Izhmukov pulled out four people from the burning bus.

Road accident happened on the night of July 2 in 9 km from the city of Zainsk in the Republic of Tatarstan. The passenger regular bus Neoplan following the route Samara-Izhevsk collided with KamAZ, towing a MAN truck. At the time of the accident, there were 28 people in the bus.
The criminal case is initiated upon the road accident under Art. 264 (Violation of Traffic Regulations and operation of vehicles which has entailed the death of two and more persons on imprudence), causes of the accident are being established.
