Burial of murdered ex-State Duma deputy Voronenkov in Kiev
The former parliamentarian's burial service is taking place at St. Vladimir Cathedral.
The farewell ceremony for the late State Duma Deputy Denis Voronenkov is taking place in the center of the Ukrainian capital. As UNIAN reports, several dozen people, including relatives and friends of the deceased, as well as former State Duma Deputy Ilya Ponomarev have come to say goodbye to the former parlamentarian.
The other day, Voronenkov's wife Maria Maksakova gave her first interview after her husband's death, in which she stated that she would not speculate or search for the perpetrators.
Let us recall that, as previously reported, Voronenkov was shot in front of Premier-Palas hotel. The Ukrainian law enforcement agencies reported that records from the CCTV cameras revealed the assassin had been following Voronenkov's car on Daewoo Lanos, and started shooting when the latter parked his car and got out of it together with his guard.
On Friday, March 24, the name of ex-State Duma Deputy Denis Voronenkov was announced. According to the sources, it is 28-year-old Pavel Parshov.
On September 21, kingpin Vladimir Vagin, aka Vagon, hanged himself. Two years earlier another thief in law Max Pioner also committed suicide. Vagon's lawyer does not believe in the version of suicide and intends to apply for a forensic medical examination.
