Bloggers who blocked Novy Arbat arrested for 10 days
The video shooting was regarded as an unauthorized meeting.
Moscow’s Presnensky District Court arrested bloggers David Manukyan and Karina Lazaryants for 10 days. The latter blocked several lanes of the Novy Arbat to film a video. The defendants were found guilty of organizing a mass simultaneous gathering of citizens in public places that resulted in a violation of public order (Article 20.2.2 of the Administrative Code).
The police identifies the drivers of cars who were driving slowly in the first row of the traffic jam, right behind the bloggers, not allowing other vehicle to overtake.
