Blogger who drove with guns in Tyumen arrested for second time
The court punished Artem Talovikov for dancing on the roadway.
In Tyumen, blogger Artem Talovikov, who was released after 12 days in jail for driving around the city with assault rifles, was arrested again. The court sentenced him to 13 days of arrest for group dances on the roadway at the Kalinka shopping center, 72.ru reports.
“For organizing a mass simultaneous stay of citizens in public places that caused a violation of public order, the court sentenced Artem Talovikov to 13 days of arrest,” the city police press service reported.
The blogger was taken to the police station immediately after his release. Talovikov spent the night in the fourth department, from where he was brought to the court. The proof of the offense was, as in the first case, the video taken by the accused himself.
Mass protest rallies have been taking place in Moscow on a regular basis since the beginning of this summer. People are protesting for lots of different reasons. However, the reaction of the law enforcement authorities is always the same: repression. What is the reason behind the brutality shown during the dispersion of mass rallies? A conscious intimidation policy or incompetence of law enforcement functionaries escalating the violence and unable to imagine the potential consequences of this?
