Austria puts Russian detained in Minsk on wanted list
The citizen of the Russian Federation is suspected of involvement in terrorism.
A Russian born in 1988 was declared wanted in Austria and detained at the Minsk airport. A citizen of the Russian Federation is placed in the Minsk SIZO No. 1, he is suspected of involvement in terrorist activities.
“The arrest warrant for the citizen was issued in April 2016 by the district prosecutor of the Graz court,” BELTA learned from official representative of the Prosecutor General of Belarus Dmitry Brylev.
According to him, on October 9, Belarus informed Austria via Interpol about the detention of the Russian citizen. The Prosecutor General’s Office has to receive materials for extradition within 40 days, which will set out the rationale for the put on the international wanted list.
A citizen of the Russian Federation was detained in Minsk on October 4, and the next day was arrested for the subsequent extradition to Austria. State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Stanislav Zas told reporters that the Russian is accused of the murder.
In late June 2019, the management of Development Corporation Joint Stock Company established in 2012 on the basis of Industrial Urals–Polar Urals Open Joint Stock Company was changed. This infamous corporation was repeatedly involved in corruption scandals. Notorious oiler and millionaire Sergei Maslov was its General Director in 2013–2016. In fall 2016, Maslov was arrested for embezzlements – but somehow, the court acquitted him. Immediately after the acquittal, he relocated abroad.
