Armed Chechen kidnaps college girl, beats her jealously all day
The girl has numerous bruises on her body.
Alekhvard, 26, kidnapped a female student of the Agrarian University in St. Petersburg's town of Pushkin and held the girl hostage in his car until late at night, beating her out of jealousy.
According to Fontanka, the love drama started on November 11, when the Chechen man took Vislana, 22, from the Agrarian University at ten o'clock in the morning. He refused to let the girl out, beat her and drove her around St. Petersburg until 4am November 12. Then the man called his fellow countryman Hassan who kept their company. Alekhvard reportedly had a gas pistol with him. As it turned out later, the man and the woman had known each other for a year and had strained relationship.
Alekhvard’s Toyota Camry was stopped at night on a corner of Nevsky Prospekt. Inside the car the policemen saw two men and a girl with traces of violence. Later, she was diagnosed with multiple bruises in the emergency room.
Now both men from the Chechen Republic are in custody. According to the latest information, a criminal case has already been instituted against them under Art. 126 of the Criminal Code (Abduction). Alekhvard had a Groza-02 gas pistol with a magazine and eight cartridges.
Saburova believes that the Russian authorities violated articles 2 and 5 of the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, guaranteeing the right to life, as well as the right to freedom and personal inviolability.
