Arkhangelsk ICR came for ex-Minister of Transport of Tula region
Earlier, the official was accused of corruption, when he was working the Head of the Donskoy city Administration of the Tula Region. Then he managed to win the lawsuit on the honour and dignity protection, clearing himself of suspicion.
Director of the regional Department of Transport Maksim Semiokhin was detained in Yaroslavl. The official, who earlier held a similar position in the Tula Region, was detained directly on a workplace, to where investigating officers from the Investigative Committee of the Arkhangelsk Region came with searches.
According to Regnum news agency, Semiokhin is being interrogated in the building of department of transport, further investigative actions will continue in hotel Svyatoy Georgy, where the official, who arrived to work at the new position, temporarily lives.
Semiokhin was appointed to the post of the Head of the Transport Department of the Yaroslavl Region on December 7. Before, up to October 21, he held a position of the Head of the Department for the State Road Supervision of the Federal Service of Transport across the Tula Region.
Earlier, the official worked as the Minister of Transport and Road Facilities of the Tula Region, and before - was the Head of the Donskoy city Administration of the Tula Region.
Meanwhile, media service of the regional Government commented on Semiokhin's detention. They hurried to reject the official, declaring that he had not managed to enter the position yet: “There were no official appointment”. Representative of regional administration emphasized that before Semiokhin's appointment to a position a personnel inspection, by the results of which the government passed negative decision, was carried out.
Today, it is difficult to assume why was the official detained by the Arkhangelsk security officers. The Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Yaroslavl Region have not commented on Semiokhin's detention yet. Attempt to receive a comment from representatives of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia across the Arkhangelsk region also failed.
It should be noted that the official has ambiguous reputation. His detention can be quite connected with activities on his prior workplaces.
In 2014 blogger Andrey Nekosov accused Semiokhin of corruption and abuse of official power. After that the official registered claim for honor and dignity protection against him and compensation of moral harm in court. He won the case, seizing from Nekosov symbolical compensation in 1 ruble, – the court did not consider accusation in corruption against the Head of the Donskoy city Administration reasonable.
